Android skype or other vdo conferencing apps

Now that the eDGe camera is wooing......... do any of the video confrencing apps like Skype work on the device????

The only video calls for android (as far as I know) is www.fring.com (support skype). But I were't be able to start video call

I installed Fring and initiated a video call to my little sis in Nicaragua. ..I worked perfectly!!!

I also installed Fring (new version) sometimes it worked sometimes not. Fring says issues will be resolved with the next firmware update to the edge.

It is so great that we now have a working camera. I have used Skype over Fring for video calls several times now and it has woked great! Only once did I have any audio jumpiness. Next I m going to try a vid call using my Bluetooth headset.

Where do I find the APK for Fring? I tried their website but could not figure it out.

I did instal fring and try to make connection to my kkids on skype but that dosnnot work any a idea? ????sorry for my bad English it is not my language, i am Dutch. Karell

I've found that you have to rotate the view to landscape (sideways) manually before you initiate a call, especially a video call. I have only used the "Test Call" function, and it works, but the performances is rather poor at this point. Video and sound are very choppy.
