Is there anywhere online I can buy a jetBook for a decent price?

I'm not aware of any sale to match buy.com's $50 offer for the Aluratek Libre Pro. The least I've ever seen the jetBook Lite was $69 at Newegg, and that was only once, a number of months ago.

J&R currently has the JBL for $99.99.

Thanks for the link I will have a look. I did have a look on ebay AUS but they didn't have any JBL. It will probably be cheaper to buy from the US and use shipito.com to get it to AUS.

If you have access to the Chinese market (You are closer after all), perhaps you can
find the Dr Yi device that matches the Ectaco jetBook Lite, this could help:

If you find the right one you could probably flash it with the current jetBook Lite
firmware.

In this case, it would be as simple as installing the firmware update following the
directions provided in the sticky post on the first page of this forum.

One of the neat things about this kind of embedded device is how easy it can be to
make upgrades to the software and operating system of the device. You just "Flash"
the device's internal memory with a new set of data. The term Flash relates to both
this process and the type of memory involved. (It is really just the same process that
is used to write to an SD card. The same term is used for updating the BIOS of your
computer.)

Unfortunately it is. I had an email conversation with ectaco Australia which my final wasn't replied to over the pricing. One can buy from ectaco us and pay their $45 shipping charge to send it to Australia cheaper than buying from ectaco Australia directly.

If you are interested in the jetbook mini the Australia site calculatorking has them for $99 plus $10 shipping. Only comes in black from them. But for the jetbook or lite us Aussies need to buy it from the us so as to not get ripped off.

I actually emailed that site yesterday and asked if they deliver to Aus and they of course said no lol.

I ordered my JBL thru Newegg a year ago and had it sent by shipito with no problems here in THAILAND.

Well I went through a couple of those sites that provide services so you can buy from the US under a fake addy or something and after seeing the the total price including post compared to the one I bought today there was only like $20 difference.

I bought it off ebay and the seller is in Aus. Here is the link:
