Wow, you guys have been really active on this thread today ... 4 pages to read through. I'll get to that in a minute!

Just got back from a congress, where one of my research projects was rewarded with a price

I got to walk up the stage to collect it. Very fun! I had too little to drink though, just some orange juice in the morning and a glass of wine at the reception. So I'm trying to catch up with lots of water right now.

oh my! the worst food poisoning I ever had was in Mexico when I was sticking to a vegetarian diet. irrigation water is not always very clean

Very nice! Every time we plant, I just can't believe how much soil it takes. We are tearing down our old raised bed and trying to decide if we want to rebuild one.
