Status of Prime now that you have a Kindle?

I used to order a ton from Amazon because I was ordering books all the time. Now I have noticed I don't order quite as much because of the Kindle. I still do a lot of shopping on there, but I was wondering if anyone else is thinking of letting their Prime account go since they got their Kindle?

I order enough "other" products on Amazon to justify keeping the Prime account. Blu-Rays, sports equipment, games, etc... I like Prime and definitely take advantage of it.

I've thought about it for the past couple of years, but I still buy quite a bit there especially around the holidays and find it still worth it even though I don't order pbooks anymore. I'm hoping they add more titles to the free streaming and I might be able to drop netflix which would make it even more worth it.

I signed up for a free trial in order to get 2-day shipping for my KSO. I rarely order stuff from Amazon, so spending $79 a year for Prime isn't worth it. At the end of my trial period, I'm ditching it.

For me it's still well worthwhile, since it's where I buy pretty much all my DVDs, outdoor clothing and equipment, kitchen stuff, and lots more besides. And the occasional paper book, too

I'm still on a free Prime offer from my son being a college student.

I'm guessing we'll probably continue it if I can't find another free offer because I frequently order grocery/pantry items and other things from Amazon.

If they offered a larger video selection for Prime Instant Video, I'd sign up. As is, Netflix is only $1.41 more per month for a substantially larger selection.

Since standard shipping is often free, prime is really an upgrade to 2nd day air. I like the convenience of "free" 2nd day air delivery, and it would take relatively few 2nd day orders per year to pay for prime membership.

My roommate and I share his Prime account. He has my Literati but still buys pbooks, and between the two of us we buy all sorts of other things from Amazon as well. I'd say we get at least 3-4 Amazon deliveries per month. The best part of Prime is you really can order just one item and not worry about it - and knowing it will arrive in two days is great. With Amazon now fulfilling more and more orders for other sellers, it seems like more items are Prime-eligible every day.

Sure, we buy far fewer print books than previously, but Prime is still a bargain for our household. Amazon is our preferred source for all kinds of things.

I still have prime and split it with a family member. I buy enough other things...movies, games, etc. and I like the 2nd day shipping with no minimum purchase amount. I don't always have $25 of stuff I want at a time :> And it def. comes in handy around holidays and birthdays.

Not likely to drop it. The real advantage is free 2nd Day. Means I can wait until the last moment and then place an order when I know I'm going to be in the States for something. And be sure of it getting there before it's too late.

Plus there have been rumours of a Kindle "deal" for Prime this fall, so I'll hang around to see what that might be.

I've never had to actually pay for my Prime. I keep managing to get it extended through various offers. I also belong to Amazom Mom so everytime I spend $25 dollars on any eligible items it gets extended another month. I don't think I could live without Prime at this point. I'm very spoiled with it and will pay to keep it if I have to.
