Just saw that kit. Not exactly an eReader, though, is it?

I like the limitation of having a dedicated reader -- if it doubled as a digital moleskine, it would be perfect. I'm hoping Sony will implement Mirasol in another iteration before they consolidate the concept into something tablet-like. |

I only read books and there is no need for color. If I'd read magazines it were different. Right now, I just need e-ink to be happy.

I've gone through this thread, and it seems to me that a lot of people seem to want something like an ipad that reads books better, rather than any "evolvement" of the ereader.

In other words, they would like to have an ereader incorporated into a multi-use device. Either that, or have an ereader that does more than just be an ereader. I just want an ereader that is, basically, a book, but being an ereader, has a library in it. That's all I want it for, reading. I'm don't need wifi etc.., and I don't want to use it for anything other than reading - the mp3 is nice, but didn't buy my Sony for that, I have my Clip+ for that. I have a PC, a phone. So I just want what I've got, with anything that will make my reading experience more enjoyable. Like... more books ?

So do you think we will have a 375, 675 and 975 or will it be the 400, 701 and 1000?

	There's a real problem with a prior 700 out there. |

It is a wall charger that has a built in battery, so you can charge on the way to the airport and also on board the plane. |

Thanks for that, Pinecone. I'm going to try out that charger. If it works as well as the company claims, I'll send you a bit of karma. Haven't needed it for my Sony reader but could use it for my Android smartphone.

Now that I gave it some thought, I like the idea of Mirasol. It must be fun to read history books for example with colourful maps or the garments people wore in colour.

There are certain types of books that would do nicely on a Mirasol screen. Yes, I hope for a Mirasol screen. |

Glad you've come to see it from my side. We can always have black and white content for reading just as we can while writing.

A three-color map that appears at the beginning of a book, however, should be seen in exactly that format. So should my friend Doug Rice's new book, which contains color photographs as well as his fiction. |

So I don't care for tablet style readers, anything backlit is too hard on my eyes to make for pleasurable reading. |
