Another tip: Get Process Explorer (was Sysinternals) from Microsoft. (I will assume there is a W7 compatible version )

Good point - I have both my Calibre install folder, and my Calibre library folders set to be exempt from virus scanning.
I did this so long ago I forgot this tidbit.
