I bought 2 of these and found this model only displays PDFs in original size, when magnified it is no longer very readable and wants EPUB files, mostly. I need to read PDF files and mostly NOT in colour. Will consider any offers to swap this never even opened Literati for a reader that does a good job with PDFs and has a good battery/screen/works 100%. Preference for non-DRM centric device as I have NO DRM infested files to read. If interested, email and we can work out details via phone if desired. (Lower 48 states only, please) Last edited by smallhagrid; 04-19-2011 at 01:49 PM. Reason: claimed ! |

Wow. Not even a nibble or any alternate offers of $, old stuff or anything. Looks like nobody likes these. I think it's kinda cute and easy on the eyes myself...pity. |

I already own a Literati, I can understand why nobody wants it. Mine died after only a few days of use, I called them on March 10th, took 2 weeks to get a return label and box, and as of today, April 15th, I still don't have my replacement.

I'm no longer surprised when I hear of electronic devices dying when they are almost new - and sadly I am not surprised at terrible customer service either. Both of those are things I have experienced myself and especially with ereaders. (I have posted about my adventures here, in fact.) The other Literati I got is going strong...so far...unlike ones made by other brands which I have had since being an ereader user. I think this would be very nice for someone who wants the large screen size and the colour display which are both nice features of this device. Best Wishes ! |

I have 2 No Problems! Tho it is a hit or miss! You might want to take it out of the box do the software updates & make sure it works! Dont work return to store you purchased at... And you could do that now without opening the box! Good Luck!
