yesterday I went to a "tea house" - not sure if it's translated right - and try the Lotus tea. It has an amazing fragrant of Lotus petals, but I wasn't so pleased when I took a sip. It was almost as bitter as Panadol. I've never tried any thing more bitter.

I think you got the really good stuff! I can't drink it at all. I need the low quality green stuff. When I first came to Japan I was taken to the Tea Festival in Uji, world famous for its teas. Each grower had a booth set up along the river to sell their new harvest and let people sample their wares. Knowing my love of tea, I was taken directly to that year's winner to sample the tea... I was really excited!
I took a sip,

It was all I could do not to spit it right out! As you said, as bitter as Panadol or worse!
All the high quality teas affect me that way. I've discovered that the lower the quality, the better I like it!

I am having some vanilla ice cream. Dare I say it, cupless. No not that kind of cupless. Ok, I have said enough. Straight out the tub with a spoon. Nice!

You really ARE making progress!! Good on ya!

I just finished a pizza. First one I've had in months. And now a big mug of Keemun tea. It takes a strong tea to follow pizza and not get lost!

Just finished a cup of Honeybush Chocolate Cake. It was a little disappointing. I thought it would taste a lot more 'chocolaty'. I never really liked Honeybus anyway ...

Next up: Rooibos Glow of the Savannah. I really love the names they give to their tea

I still love the SFGTFBOP names they use for Ceylons...

Interesting sequence you have chosen.
After I have ordered the whole Rooibos sample collection they got 3 new.
Rooibos Persipan was the first addition and I ordered it a bit later.
Rooibos Glow of the Savannah and Honeybush Chocolate Cake were added later.
From all the samples that you have got, you have started with the ones I have not tried

I made a mistake and had Ceylon yesterday night, after a bad test of tuocha Pu-erh. Could not fall asleep after that

Today I started with Tea House Emporium's Assam Harmutty, then their Keemun, then The East India Company's Emperors Yunnan Tea, then Tea House Emporium's English Breakfast with breakfast, naturally.

Wifie liked The East India Company's Emperors Yunnan Tea

Really liked

Empty cup at the moment. Probably the next one will be oolong for me and Emperors Yunnan for the female part of my shell.
