Hmm, were you applying the right coupon codes to the right titles. Not every title is part of the the program.

Yep it wasn't working but they fixed it and made it for free instead of 50% off and I went back they added a few more coupons on some other titles that were regular price so I suggest if you see something you want then keep an eye on it. It might later show up.

I spent way too much today.

Both of SJA Turney's Marius' Mules books are 50% off bringing them to $1.50 each. They may appeal to ancient Roman military fans. The reviews look very good.

For those having trouble navigating. Thought this was a worthy mention. These look really good and originally priced at $7.99 a piece but all currently free!

You'd think they would have planned ahead for the extra traffic... it's not the first time they have done a site wide sale.

Follow the links to the books, use the coupon code on the book page. All her books are 100% off this week (already downloaded, yesterday!).

You have to click the individual titles and use the coupon code.

That's one of the things that Smashwords could stand to do a bit of work upon. You can't even see if a particular title by an author/that comes up during search is sale-eligible until you click the title to go to the individual page, and if your author has a lot of work and only decided to coupon some of them…

Last year, they had searches set up for the coupon codes. Made it a lost easier (which is probably why they didn't do that, this year ... you could buy several hundred free books in no time, if you knew which ones were 100% off).

I spent practically hours on the site yesterday till it broke.

A search had would be nice. I admit I have spent close to $90 on the site yesterday buying up backlists titles from known authors once I discovered they took PayPal.

I really wish they had a way to show the coupons before you click on the title because it was a nightmare to navigate!
