how to read ghtml files on prs 650 ?

Hi
I read somewhere on the net that its possible to read html files (articles) on your Prs.
Is that true ?
I tried to convert it to epub but the conversion is terrible (I think because the site where i want to read the articles from, http://www.nononsenseselfdefense.com/
is split up in columns.
Anybody can help me out?

thank you

It's not a stupid question, but possibly nobody's replied because there's no obviously ideal solution. I can only suggest trying to create an EPUB with Sigil, which will allow you to copy and paste the content whilst preserving the formatting. If you know some HTML, you could also just remove the columns by hand before converting to EPUB as well.

If the original is in 2 or more columns, then it is using HTML tables. Most eInk readers are too small to deal well with HTML multicolumn tables. Trying to convert HTML tables by hand is a tedious task. However, if you convert the tables to epub hen use the Sony Reader's column function it might look okay. Have you tried that?

EDIT: I just went and looked at the website you wanted to read on the reader. Forget it! That kind of website will never look good on a small eInk reader. You might be able to copy the text from the center column and paste it into a program to create an epub or some other convertible format, but the two side columns will never look good.

Haven't tried the column function yet (still need to figure out what it is)
but you said it wasn't an option with the particular site so i just did the second option, copying the center text in word and saved it as an PDF file and thats a way that works (with Ctrl - function i decreased the visual size of the original html documents so it took less time in selecting the whole texts of the pages manually and then copied in the word document, and saved it as a pdf)

thanks

That is a very poorly made overly busy site. Also, it's too wide to look good on an eInk display of 6".

If you copied the text into MS Word, then you will probably have a nicer document if you save it as an HTML file then use calibre to convert it to ePub. That way the text will reflow. Epubs look much better on eInk devices than PDFs.
