I'm reading or should I say re-reading a lot of the classics. Cranford, A Tale of Two Cities, Great Expectations, etc. I've finished with the latter two among others. I like Cranford, but I do get a bit agitated at all the spelling errors and typos.

My reading has slowed way down lately, too much going on. I read and highly recommend "Ghost Ship" by P.J Alderman. Now I'm reading "Angel's Verdict" by Mary Stanton. I adore this series! So many good books, not enough hours in the day...

An interesting and original fantasy. A bit confusing in places. On the whole I enjoyed it, and I think I'll enjoy the others in the series. I'm pleased to say that it's a story complete in itself — if it was the only one, one wouldn't feel cheated of an ending. But before I move on to the others, I think something shorter is in order. Back to Agatha Christie for her fifth novel, Poirot Investigates Another I got in a fictionwise sale for $0.95 net.

used to be a really slow reader, getting a kindle really changed it. (bigger font sizes really made a difference) the only problem i'm having these days is in finding the time to read. i guess i'm going slowly as well. |

@ Michael McLovin: yeah, time is hard to find. I don't find any interest in The catcher in the rye. Maybe the translation isn't good enough! I'll try the book in English to see if there's any difference. |

Next: Uptown Local by Diane Duane. A set of short fantasy/sf stories, which I bought just a few days ago from the Author's on-line store.

I just finished reading Monster Story by McCarty Griffin. Best werewolf story I have ever read. There is a great review on it here: http://crescentsunspublishing.blogsp...-among-us.html Now I'm reading Dangerous Times by Phillip Frey, also reviewed here: http://crescentsunspublishing.blogsp...ous-times.html Both are worth the read and written by new authors. |
