I prefer milk chocolate. I accidentally bought some dark chocolate pieces and tried to eat them, but I just didn't like the taste. It was far too bitter for me.

I have a genetic condition that prevents me eating milk chocolate anymore.
Not great loss!

Someone should start a poll. If you're male, do you prefer milk or dark chocolate? Same question for the ladies. My guess is that women much prefer dark while guys prefer milk but maybe with a smaller majority. On the other hand, chocolate is such a major deal (except on Donut Day) that who really cares?

Chocolate has become one of those things that people can become terribly snobbish about. Don't get me wrong I like a few squares of 78% Vietnamese single estate Grand Cru as the next man, but sometimes you just need to get down and dirty with a big slab of light brown milk chocolate that leaves a coating on the inside of your mouth and gives you a headache because you have eaten too much of it.

The Valentine's chocolate is terribly on sale at my grocery store now. No dark chocolate anymore, but I got my hands on a Reeses peanut butter cup heart and a caramel-filled chocolate heart. Yummm.

But that chocolate is so different from proper dark chocolate it's almost not the same candy at all. Oh well, it's all tasty.
