I've seen nothing about any limits, Astra. That's one reason I joined, unlimited number of books you can add.

I have over 600 books in Shelfari, and you can tag books however you want, which is similar to custom shelves.

Ah, thanks, Whitearrow, I didn't think about tags. I wonder...I wouldn't mind having my wishlist in Shelfari, the titles would "move" after I bought them, to my "to read" list, which would be handy.

Thanks for the tips. It might be worth to investigate then Although, I don't have time even for Goodreads, but I will keep it in mind. |

If they're going to integrate, why not do it right?

I see that it's limited to the books purchased directly from Amazon. However, Amazon also happens to know about hundreds of other books I own, through entries I've made to their "recommendations" system. If they really want to provide a significant service, these should be imported as well.

The link up with Amazon is new and it is optional so those who don't want to sign in with their Amazon account are still able to add books the old way and so can users who do sign in with Amazon.

I'm on both Goodreads and Shelfari and enjoy aspects of both of them. However, I find it hard to keep up with everything! (That's just my problem, though...)

As I prefer the interface at Shelfari and the groups that are available, I have decided to focus my attention there. That is where I add books and participate in discussions. I will still be on Goodreads for the MobileReads 100 books challenge because the company there is good as is the method of updating the challenge

These are both new to me (Shelfari and Goodreads). Let me describe my issue/desire and see if you folks think either of these, or something else, will solve this. It has to do with series. When I am reading a series, I would like to easily see what books are available that I haven't read, and in what order. Then, when I have a series I enjoy I would like to be automatically notified or have an automatic wish list when new titles in that series are published. Any thoughts? |

They may not notify of new titles but they do list forthcoming titles up to a year in advance as well as listing series and series order and other info... The Sony Reader program won't notify you of titles not availalble from Sony... |

Provided that you register with them of course... personally I'm keeping down the number of things I register with... too much junk mail... Quote:

I use Fictfact.com for this too. It is a great site that really helps you keep track of which books you have read in a series and notifies you have upcoming books.
