Nope, no critters of any sorts in anything I'm working on these days. My main characters don't even have pets.
However, if something fluffy ever wanders into one of my books, it'll probably be a cat. |

There is something fluffy in my book. He's red, furry and cute but he leads the Resistance and underneath all that fluffy cuteness he's a complete b*****d! If you look at him and say, "Aw..." He'll kill you.

At first I thought "Nope," then it occurred to me that in the piece I'm working on now, the protaganist is friends with the Native American god, Coyote.

If someone puts Robin Williams in their book, does that count as a furry creature?

Good question, Steven. I don't think that the furry archetype is really that common anymore (whatever happened to Red Wall?)
I've actually got a friend who is working on a furry fantasy. About two years ago, I got an idea to write my own. Sadly, the book never came to fruition, but I did manage to come up with close to 7 pages of notebook material on it. I loved Red Wall as a kid and blame a little game called Furcadia for contributing to my start at writing. This was back in...96 I believe, but still have to give it props when props are do. Actually found it kind of funny that 15 years later, my brother is playing the same exact game. |

My new book The Burning Sky features a sabre-toothed cat and a terror-bird with distinctive characters, but they don't talk.

One of my books has a rare golden monkey called Po. His nemesis is also a monkey, Foe.

Needless to say, dogs are important characters in my mystery, Rottweiler Rescue. However, they are real dogs, not the magical mystery solving, talking, or out-thinking human kind.

Let's get this clear right away: I'm a dog.
I'm 1'10" and weigh 63 lbs, and although I'm a mutt on the outside, I'm a purebred on the inside. My good nature comes from the Golden Retriever side of the family, while my stubbornness is clearly from my Chowchow bloodlines. I've got Rastafarian ears, a black tongue for licking, and paws that should be on a dog twice my size. I type 60 words a minute. My name is Bo, and this is my story. dog rescue
Ellen...anyone who supports dog rescue is worth checking out in my book. No pun intended. I'm going to go take a look.
