I thought a number of people would probably try that (I didn't). Free money at Amazon is just too tempting for some (and you could probably try to repeat this for every credit card you had).

I wonder, though, if they can easily (or legally) retrieve billing addresses for each credit card used and then match them or if they will only go by what was entered on the entry screens. And those with multiple cards that are sent to different addresses (work, home, spouse name) might still sneak thru, I suppose.

Another issue is those who got free deals - there won't be a CC charge on those, so they may not even be able to get addresses or do a verification on them.

Mine says the same. As koland says, probably a delay due to the sheer volume.

Yes, LivingSocial has said on their Facebook page, I think, that there might be a small delay...nobody thought they'd sell so many they'd become national (well, internet) news.

I got an email this morning that my gift certificate was ready this morning. I went to the Living Social site and got my code and applied it to my Amazon account!

I still haven't received an email but when I logged onto LivingSocial this morning my gift code was listed in my account. I applied it to my Amazon Account - haven't spent it yet.

Got mine as well. I tried to purchase one for my wife, but it apparently didn't go through. Even though she has her own account, I think they might have ignored "her" order since it was the same credit card making the purchase.

Mine did the same thing... husband and I both tried without knowing the other person was trying to get the deal. His order went through, mine didn't, but it says you have 4 days to correct the credit card. I used my bank's debit/credit card (not the card he used) and my order processed immediately and I've applied the gc to my account.

Great deal! I asked all of my family members to buy one for me and gave them all $10. $120 credit for $60.
