UGH. One more question haha. Okay, when I clicked run it won't open the application. When I click this link https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Win32DiskImager what do I do to download?

I am using Google Chrome and when I click "here" it comes up as a zip file at the bottom. I open the file and and a folder pops up filled with icons but not any of the icons say .exe at the end ? |

I just saved the file. When I unzip it, there's an executable within. Last edited by SCION; 01-18-2011 at 07:14 PM. | |

Did you "save as" first? Save it onto your desktop or anywhere onto your computer, then when you double click on the file you should be able to execute it.

The option to "save as" never came up. I'm installing Internet Explorer right now to try this again...

Okay, Internet Explorer took way to long so I downloaded mozilla. I went to the website and saved it to the desktop. When I opened the file I still dont think I have the right icons? Can anybody find a picture to show me of what the icon I should be clicking looks like? I can't figure out how to show you a picture of my folders icons.

Within your file explorer change the view so that file extensions show. It should be easy to spot an executable though.

I think the file you downloaded should be a .zip file. If you saved it to your desktop, try right-clicking on the file (.zip) and see if you have an option to "extract" or "unzip" - on my win7 machine - I can extract, which gives me a folder called win32diskimager-RELEASE-0.10-r15-win32. If I open that folder, I have a file called "win32DiskImager.exe" what version of windows are you using? or is it mac? |

the .exe is probably hidden (your windows is probably set to hide extensions) what happens when you double click on that file? |

Change your folder view option to show the file extensions.
