				READ 100 BOOKS in 2011

It seems that a good way to keep things neat with this challenge is to have a forum section on MR for this challenge. Would that be possible? Then we can keep it out of the way of everyone not interested and they can just ignore it if they want.

+1(00) The 100 books a year challenge has become very popular. It would be nice if we could have a dedicated, easy to use, discussion friendly area on the forum. Unfortunately, the "groups" area is not as user friendly as it can be, as there is no way to replay to posts, or easily find you own original post in order to update. Please consider JSWolf's suggestion. Thank You. Last edited by Nyssa; 01-04-2011 at 10:44 PM. Reason: typos |

I agree that it would be better for the 2011 Challenge to have its own forum rather than try to do it in the Social Groups area.

I agree as well. The group area is great, but it just doesn't work for our needs. |

I completely agree about abandoning the "group" section. Where to go from there? A tally of the votes up on the other thread reveiled that the majority of members want a subforum. We need too many sections, and with all our members already 150 (?) we would end up overwhelming the "general" section. So how do we ask for this? A subforum of the General forum?

I vote for a subforum as well, if the mods think it's feasible and acceptable. If it's not, I would appreciate some Mod feedback on how they would like us to handle our reading challenge, even if it's just to tell us to scurry back to our group. |

Yes, that's what I had in mind. I can't speak for everyone else. Like, first tier "general" so we could have multiiple threads in it. A whole additional heading like "100 in 2011 ????" Last edited by wvcherrybomb; 01-05-2011 at 12:25 AM. |

But it needs to be on the same level as "reading recommendations". If it was under it, it would just be a thread.

this sounds like the other discussion, I just want to be part of a group that loves reading books and is willing to share as we all embark on the quest of 100 books in 2011

Therefore, as un-fun as it is, we have to discuss and implement a solution so that we can all meet that goal. | |
