gmail attachments on rooted NC

I have been trying to attach files using the 'stock' gmail app available with the rooted NC, but not able to do so. Anyone else with the same problem?

Did you figure it out yet. I sent a test email with an attachment.

The stock 'Email' app can send email with attachments, but not the gmail app yet

What do you mean by stock? I used the Gmail app.

Are you referring to the icon in the upper right hand corner of my screen?

I don't know how to attach something to an email with my NC yet....haven't tried....what I'm trying to figure out is how to attach a thumbnail to a post....or even open a thumbnail from a post.....
When I click on any thumbnail, I just get a black transparent screen, that I can't get ride of without navigating away from the particular page....
Happens with both the stock browser and Dolphin

Can you break it down for me what you're trying to do so I can duplicate it. I'm not following.

Using the attached thumbnail of your post above, the snap shot of your desktop.....
When I click on the attached thumbnail using my NC, it opens a black transparent screen, that does not show the picture

If I do the same thing with my computer, I see the image. I don't see the image you thumbnail attached with the nook (and I don't know how to post an attached thumbnail either)

Using Dolphin: You need to long press on the image and you'll be given some options.

yeah Scion. The Gmail app which we get using the autonooter. I tried attaching the screenshot from my NC using Gmail app; the email goes through fine but without the attachment.

Also, I'm having the same issue as 'The Joker' when trying to open attached thumbnails in this forum on my NC.

I just tried again. Sent an attachment to the same Gmail account I used to send. As soon as I clicked on the email, the attachment showed within the email. Also, there was a paperclip icon attached to the email.

Check your Astro Preferences. Under Helper Apps, make sure Enable Browser Downloader is unchecked. If you check it, there's a disclaimer about not being able to view Gmail attachments.

As far as attaching files from the device to MobileRead, it seems that function is disabled.

Yeah.....I noticed that as well, so was trying to adjust some setting somewhere.....I thought that you attached thumbnails like that.....(I saw how to take screen shots in some other post, but haven't figured out how to attach the thumbnail)

Also another question....I do see how you can copy text (not url links though), but how do you actually paste the text you've copied....

My screen shot attachments are done using the computer. I plug up my device and browse for the file.
