sell estimation
Hi all,

I want to sell my DR1000 (it bricks my heart, but it is necessary) and I want to ask, if I can call €150 for it (+ shipping).

Age: 22 months
In-use: daily
Problems: none.
Defects: a very small area in the lower left corner with broken eInk (2*4 mm), which do not effect reading (for me); it is a 0-day-defect of which iRex denied repair and which had not changed since the first day.

Including a flip-over-cover (black/tan). The reader never left the cover.

Both - reader and cover - have some marks of daily use, but you have to look for it to see (at the edges of the cover and at the top of the reader). Nothing, that has annoyed me.

What do you think about the price?

It doesn't look expensive for me if it works.
Perhaps a good backup device for DR1000 owners (with some money saved).

I agree with Iņigo. For reference, I've bought a screen-broken one for about €110 of which screen was too broken to use(I've bought it to get the inside board to repair my another one).

Considering that I bought a newish one for 450€ a couple of months ago, I also do not think that you would be overcharging.

903 has some delays that reminds me of Irex. Hope Pocketbook does not go bankrupt also.

Yes, I did. But one of reasons for changing is, that the display is too big for me in the meantime. I want a smaller display, but 6" is too small. So 7" will be ok.

Less resolution, same ink tech, now wifi available atm, what makes that better than the irex?

I'm still in love with my DR800S, I don't think there is nothing better out there, this PB903 could be the next one.

No, there is nothing better out there. Last weekend I talked with a sales-woman in the city. Her job is to sell PRS-350 and PRS-650. She said, the people love this device. But they don't buy it, because the display is too small. With 7" or 8" - no problem. So Irex could have had a big chance with the DR800, if they would had done it well.
