Not at all profcrash. If amazon would meet my price I would buy it in a heart beat. The only reason why I bought the Aluratek Libra Pro is that it meets my price point.

So all this negativity comes down to a few dollars? I don't think so. There is something else going on.

Kindle doesn't have a touch screen. You need something like a Sony PRS for that but you'll be paying for that extra touchscreen. | |

The Kindle does not have a touch screen although it is pretty fast. Your posts do not match what you are saying. Today you have posted that Amazon can take books off of your hard drive. Either you meant remove from your archive and hence your Kindle or you meant that Amazon can skirt your firewall and remove items from your home PC. Given that you used the term "Firewall" in your post I tend to think that you meant the later. I have difficulty believing that anyone who thinks that a comapny is capable of hacking your home computer to remove a book is going to want to buy that particular comapnies product. You said this in a topic and then started a seperate topic to ask people about it. Then you post in surprise when people agreed that the Kindle DX was not perfect. And then you start this topic. Do you see why people have difficulty believing that you would buy a Kindle if it was $100? |

Try borders.com. I guess I am wrong about the touch screen, its still a lot faster than my Aluratek. I compared the two side by side the Kindle is a lot faster it had me drooling, don't want to pay that. |

Being an enthusiastic coffee aficionado, I'll have to disagree on the caffeine/slow refresh rate remark. I find my K2 turns pages pleasingly fast.

I have a Sony Reader PRS-650 and it is uses the same Pearl screen and (I think) the same or similar speed processor. And I know the 650 is not too slow to change screens. So I highly doubt the K3 is too slow. Please don't pos such misinformation from people who have no clue.
