...as I was sayin', you're right, dsvick: That butler wasn't polishing any suit of armor (he might have been polishing something else, but we won't talk about that now). He was hiding back there, sure as shootin'. Mighty suspect, that.

The Spring MR Contest featured a mystery in which the victim was .... you guessed it .... pshrynk (see here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82337) - hence the sly jokes. It's a fun read - but not necessary to solving the fall contest - only if you want to "get" some of the jokes.
