I know the Kindle comes with a better dictionary than the nook, but just in case...

Clarified for whom? I didn't know you were the official proof reader/editor of the forums. Is that a position one is elected to, or do you just stand up and decided that you're the one? What qualifications does that require?

*sigh* Consider that one statement corrected accordingly to reflect your experience - I've still seen no evidence at the site itself to show that it's a "fan site" (whatever that means). Seems mostly (as I said before) about reading, ebooks in general and just plain fun. No "nook worship"

I've spent some time there and haven't seen any kindle-bashing, but I can't say I've been everywhere. There are definitely pros and cons of each device, but then of course when you get people together on the internet you get the herd mentality so I wouldn't be surprised if it's happened.

If I saw something like that I'd just steer clear of it. I'd much rather spend my forum time having fun and talking about random stuff, not grinding an ax against something.

I like nookboards and am over there reasonably frequently, because it's a good place to find stuff specific to nook. The lending forum is nice and I've gotten several good LendMe reads there, as well as having lent one of my own.

I also picked up a great deal on a new, unused Oberon cover for my nook and it couldn't have been a better transaction!

Interesting... today nookboards is selling furniture. The Google cache shows the old forum but every link sells me furniture. It will be a shame if they are gone.
