As long as you have your output profile set to kindle and are using calibre 0.7.23 you will find the margins as rendered on the Kindle much closer to the amrgins in the epub.

Would it be possible to make a new version of Calibre that dumped the left margin during conversion to mobi?

I too would appreciate this feature, as the current left margin results in a lot more page turns in my epub-to-mobi books.

Done , I did notice though that even though I had set my device to Kindle on both input and output under the common preferences when converting to MOBI format and clicking on the left "page setup" option, that the settings were not on Kindle, So I changed them to Kindle. Although not quite as bad the results where still a larger left margin. Thanks |

Ok thanks for the speedy replies and help guys, I've done as suggested by "Trickery" and replaced the lines he suggested within the epub and saved the file back, Loaded it back into Calibre and converted to MOBI using the Kindle output profile, Still getting a large left margin Opening book view in Calibre and you can clearly see this (looks worse on my Kindle3) Perhaps you can tell me where I'm going wrong with this process Code change in Sigil as suggested by Trickery (thanks) Book view in Calibre after conversion to MOBI formate: Same book on Kindle: |

It's ok I just fixed it by converting to PDB and then To MOBI Miles easier than messing about with authoring software Came out perfect too |
