could someone post a link to the executable here?

...since no one seems to have access to it through the beta webpage anymore.

I think the intent was a friendly word of caution for installing and running closed programs from anonymous source downloaded from a random web page linked to on a very active and known public forum.

Regardless of the most likely benign and friendly intent of the author, this is not bad general advice.

Also, as an FYI. You're anti-virus software is unlikely to catch an unregistered trojan and if you write and deploy your own trojan, it won't be registered.

I would certainly prefer if the author released his source, but seriously now, the guy is doing this for free, and nothing kills that "helping out the community" buzz like constant complaints.

My bad.
Please forgive me if I sounded ungrateful. It was not my intention to complain about the author. Sometimes when I write I don't think about how it sounds. I think what I'm trying to say is, I understood that you put out a beta to do field testing. And you lookforward to input on its operation so you can correct problems. I would gladly pay for the finished product if I find it useful. Even for free programs I get I at least try to make a donation to the author. This program has great potential and I looked forward to helping out with field input.

It's not necessarily the open source, it's the combination of "closed, anonymous source, public forum".

So, on one extreme you have closed source, super trusted. Like Adobe, Apple, etc. On the other extreme you have some random developer, but open source (so you can see what's going on).

In the middle, you might have anonymous author, closed source, but filtered through some reputable distribution site. Like MacUpdate, CNET, etc. So you have a lot of people's eyes on it and it's immediately removed if anyone finds something suspicious.

Then you got the absolute most risky possible software. Which is closed source, anonymous author, random forum.

Since we have users of many different levels of experience and naiveté on the forums, a warning post is probably warranted. (imho)

Thanks for the support, krunk.
I thought about trying to explain my intentions, but I've found that it usually doesn't do any good. I knew what I meant and how I intended it... so I'm cool with it.

It's nice that someone else was able to see though my (apparently) open-source, fanatical, pissy, ungrateful facade, though.

Alphebetize Collections on Kindle 3

Thank you for your awesome work on the Kindle Collection Manager. I wish that it could sort the collections in Alphabetical order. Any luck with that? Thanks.

I would also like to be able to actually download this application. The beta page doesn't seem to be working anymore. Any help?

Its called google and will give you a link with a little persuasion

By way of http://www.lectoreselectronicos.com/...er-for-Windows you land at megaupload site where the last version is posted (0.41)

It was posted there for people that don't like leaving their e-mail at some random site, and also posted there for the non-english speaking spanish

Go to some filehoster (http://rapidshare.com/ for example) and upload it, then post the link here using the URL (Insert Link) function
