For my fellow citizens of the USA, today is Constitution Day!

In a day and age of the divine right of Kings, I still find it remarkable that we managed to produce a Constitution completely free from religious entanglements that began with the words, "We the People...".

It could never happen in today's political climate.

I was born in 1950, enlisted in the army at 17 for a three-year stretch, and got out 3 & 1/2 months early (you could get out early in those days if you had less than 5 months to go when you returned from Vietnam if you chose). So, 2010 - 1950 = (let me get my calculator) ...
