Excellent overview of ebook readers. The coverage of the Handspring Visor and Sony Clea bring back memories because the first device I used as an ebook reader was a Palm OS PDA with the Palm Reader software. It gave me hours of enjoyment as an ereader.

BTW, what happened with the TV-series Flash Forward?
I was in the middle of the whole thing, a new event was prognosticated and then it abruptly stopped. Summer break, or cancellation?

A great video! I was impressed by the Sony Clie, I might try to find one on Ebay, my husband would enjoy it. I think I'll pick up Adam's Tongue (the book mentioned in the clip). Wow, I'm a former Mississaugan (I lived there for over 20 years) and I had no idea that Robert J. Sawyer resides in Mississauga.

Oh man, I wanted one of those Franklin eBookMan things back in the day.

I did some limited ebook reading on my first Palm devices, a Palm III that my former boss gave me that broke within a few months, and a Tungsten E2. It wasn't until I got a Treo that I really got into ebook reading, which is odd as it is a smaller screen. It wasn't the device but the timing--it was the device I was using every day when I was really ready to get into ebooks.

We've had polls on this in the past, and the answer has been an overwhelming "yes" - the majority of people prefer full justification to ragged-right formatting.

I would think left justification (lines with the left end aligned with the edge of the margin) would be preferred over right (lines with right end aligned with the edge of the margin) with the exception of lists of numbers, then right justification would be more appropriate. I think that when Fbone says "right justification", he means "full justification".
