All Book Covers Corrupted on nook?

Book covers that are transferred with the book files through Calibre appear as multicolored vertical lines on my softrooted nook. I can manually fix this by dragging and renaming the covers to the book file into the proper nook folder but I would like to have the automatic function working properly in Calibre again. Thank you for all the fantastic work you've done with calibre, I am spreading the word on what a great program it is. |

The covers were fine prior to my soft rooting my new nook. Now i can only get the covers by manual manipulation. Time consuming and tedious and I miss the ease of just transferring the book and having the book cover there. When I go out to the folder my documents in my nook, I can see that the cover hasn't made it over as soon as I add it to my nook. I already uninstalled and reinstalled calibre once, so I'm not sure what else I can do to try to reset things as they should be. This doesn't appear to be a problem with the nook, but who knows? Also, none of the news feeds I'm getting show the default Calibre graphic but again are showing the vertical lines rather than the proper image. | |

To clarify - the jpegs for the book images appear fine in my Calibre Library folder but are not fine when I add the images to my nook. If I go into the my documents folder on my nook through the PC I can see immediately that the images haven't transferred correctly. They transferred fine previously. Both on a softrooted and a non-softrooted nook. |

There haven't been any changes to this code path in a very long time, so it has to be something on your system that is causing it. Unfortunately, I'm no windows expert, so I don't really have any suggestions on howto debug it.

I don't have any insight into this problem but HunterZ has the same issue only he is using Windows XP. Check with him and see what he did to correct this. Maybe you both have a unique program you run that is stepping on this process. Quote:

Continued on other thread but so far I have had no success with the book covers other than manually changing them in my documents folder on the nook.
