I get cramps when I am in debit of salts. Now that I diet they do not hit me any more. Almost veg diet. Although the other day that I was driving with wet crocks without socks, barefoot, at a certain point a little cramp started right under the gas foot. Blast. I ordered him back. It worked. Probably was the effort of holding on the slippery plastic

Sorry Javed. Definitely not a sock day here in Dublin. Lovely and sunny with a light breeze. Feet are lovely and cool in my flip flops just the way I like them.

Is it called a comforter? I just use a woollen blanket on top of the duvet if it's really cold. I guess I could use my summer duvet, too, but that's impractical.

So they do. I was visiting some American friends and I was asked if I wanted one. At first I thought of Southern Comfort, you know the peach flavored whiskey concoction. But they showed it to me. And it was nice for a nap after a luxurious lunch, like the one I just had.

When it is winter I use a flannel sheet as bottom. My father slept with a funny berret.

When it is really cold, but cold, like they have it in Quebec,nothing beats what beats it, it helps to sleep with naked feathers and wrap up in the duvet. But the Danish one without crossing, only tubes.

Today it's squares (not tubes), like boxes, so the there's no cold "bridges". It's the best. I remember how the down would slide to one end during the night.
When I was a child, one of the exotic experiences of travelling abroad was to sleep with blankets instead of a duvet.

I have both, squares and tubes. I still prefer tubes, they get closer to the body. I wrap in it. At first tense, and a little trembling, but then it warms, in stages, and when I can relax, the time of few constructive thoughts, I dream of those mermaids.

I think I like the fluffiness of the squared ones better - at least my winter duvet is like that, fluffy like a pillow - it covers up everything and creates a nice little nest under it.

Sounds like yours might be worn out. Mine is fairly new - it was quite a change after my old one (20 years old).

My tube one is indeed old. Maybe more than yours. Of squares we have two, but not the pale blue Danish, so may be they are not of top quality. We have a Danish duvet shop in Milano, you know?

You can use as a summer duvet. I have three, a very thin one, almost like a blanket for when it's hot in the summer, the old one that is great for late spring and cold summers, and the newer thick and fluffy one for winter. A great luxury is real eider down, so soft.

That is more or less what I do, plus the guest room. In summer I use a very light synthetic that is actually a mummy to watch TV that i got in Quebec and when I open it fits in the duvet cover. Our summers are much warmer though. till the other day I had to clim.
Eider down, from the poitrine. mmmmm ...

Coming back to socks. Angora is wonderful, delicate , warm, elegant and soft. But you that went in the Ande, didn't you get socks of vicuna or of guanaco. I have gloves, hats, and a sweater that are just a dream. I got them in Cuzco.
