Have You Pre-ordered a Kindle 3? - Page 6

CaptKJaneway, I am doing the same, searching and buying books I want on my K3. I'm especially trollingn for stuff in Sci-Fi/Fantasy that are 99 cents to 7 bucks.

I have so many paperbacks that I have to read, but I might spring for some of them on Kindle format just to get the larger print for my 50 year-old peepers.

(My reading glasses gives me a rash....and I've tried all types...cheap to expensive...hence my switch to e-readers 3 years ago.)

I'm eager to see how the K3 performs.

For now, I'm reading on the Kindle for PC while I wait.

I have pre-ordered mine. I have been downloading a ton of "classics" that are in the public domain so I don't have pay for them. I am looking to get the Wheel of Time Series on Kindle though as I am currently reading them in physical format.
I am changing to a Kindle from physical books due to holding a book now causes my hands to cramp up after about 30 minutes, even quicker if it's a heavy book and as I like fantasy that's often the case.

The DXG is a great ereader. It handles PDF manuals better than I expected and with the "pearl screen" these old eyes can pleasure read with no problem. Another thing that impresses me is the battery life - about 10 days with fairly heavy use.

I have no problem recommending the DXG if you have a feature match.

I order from Amazon's US site regularly and know that you won't be subject to any additional tax. The "Import Fees Deposit" that Amazon.com charges you when you place your order is used to pay the taxes on your behalf. If the actual amount paid is less than the deposit, Amazon will refund you the difference.

Oh well have OVER 1100 ePub's to convert, That should keep me busy RIGHT ???

EBL is awful

:P really, if I wasn't keen on purchasing from them I'd never install it on my laptop. Love my sonys but hate EBL more than ADE, which is kind of a record!
