Libre Screen Scratches

I had my Aluratek Libre in a case (actually the Ectaco jetBook case) with a "modified" book light attached and now the screen has several small scratches on it. I think the book light is what caused the scratches. Is there a good way to repair the scratches? I read somewhere (I can't remember where) to use Vaseline. Will that work?

P.S. I am assuming the Libre LCD is glass and not plastic.
