I just ordered the same one that Vroom did. Only in red.

I know it will take a month but I really like the look of it and I'd rather get one I like than one that's just ok.

When it's not in the case/sleeve, its in my hand. I wanted something to protect it when I am not using it. No need to add bulk when it is not needed. By the way, that bodyglove sleeve is much more substantial than a normal neoprene sleeve. Has a lot of nice padding, sort of like bubble wrap.

I received an email from MEdge today stating they have no current plans to create cases for the Kobo. They will look into it if demand increases.

The only thing that is slightly amiss is that the top right elastic corner strap touches the power button. It has never actually pressed the button down, or interfered with the operation of the unit in any way. I highly recommend it. |

I finally gave up waiting for a case that works and I've made my own from hardcover book that I bought at a discount book store, glue, velcro and foam core. I'm very pleased with the results. The original book I used was an old Nancy Drew hardcover which looked great but ended up being too small. I will gladly post pictures if someone can tell me how?

Here's my case. I made sure to put the soft side of the velcro on the back of the Kobo. i barely even notice it when I'm holding it out of the case. Mostly I just keep it in the book cover. The foam core is ugly but necessary so the cover doesn't push on the D-pad when closed. Until there is a better sleep mode that doesn't shut down I am not upgrading my firmware.

I bought a nice brown leatherette wrap around Nook case for my Kobo this past weekend. The entire bottom has a bracket to hold the ereader in and I cut a tiny strip, 1/4" wide from the hard foam packing material it came in and inserted it in that slot and my Kobo fits perfectly. The button is perfectly exposed for page turning and I can attach a light to the binding of the cover. I like the wrap around cases as that protects hem from stuff in my handbag getting in and feels more secure. The width is perfect. It was a little pricey at $40.00 but is exactly what I was looking for.

http://gifts.barnesandnoble.com/Sinc...598823/?itm=35 although designed for the nook, the "elastic corner system" and "molded bottom cup" still hold the kobo firmly in place. the molded bottom cup does not interfere with using any of the buttons. there is a cutout on the bottom to allow for the usb cord. this particular version appealed to me over the other cover options due to the rounded corners - which i thought mimics the kobo design nicely. a little pricey at $30US but it looks great and doesn't add a lot of bulk. |

I finally took a utility knife to an old DVD case, as has been recommended here many times. Crude but effective. Unfortunately I can now no longer justify shopping for a _nice_ case.
