Countdown to Mobileread.com's One-Millionth Post...

So, the burning questions are (1) Who will it be and (2) Who will take a "snapshot" of it in the MobleRead Forums Statistics section at the bottom of the Forums page...

My money's on yvanleterrible for (1) and Wetdogeared for (2), but I may be a bit biased.....

EDIT: (July 12, 2010) Post1010775 should be the One-Millionth Post, but that may change if posts are deleted or miscounted by me. Watch out for Post1010775 in the URL of the top-righthand "Post #" of your post...

For example, this Post #1 is Post1005559 per this image--->

Question from a relative noob: how do you know which one is the 1 millionth?

You look in the spy, it gives you the number of the post, unless it;s a new thread.
Which brings us to the point, where MR already has 1000000 posts, we just don't see them, because of the moderator section (I guess)...

If someone could keep us updated on the post count there we could find the 1000000th earth user post.

Yes, it's a bit problematic knowing which post will be the "One-Millionth" Post since the Post Number used within the threads is higher than the Statistics Post count.

The Post Number seems to be "off" by about 10775 posts more. So Post1005620 is really only Post Count 994845 i.e. 1005620-994845=10775 and so Post1010775 should be the One-Millionth Post!

Clear as mud, eh!
