it's a good one, I reviewed it here

Also just finished Mayberry's 2nd Joe Ledger book "The Dragon Factory." As good as "Patient Zero" but hard to classify. It's not about zombies; kinda like "Fringe" but involving clones, Nazis, genetic modification, and genocide. Mayberry sure goes for the big stakes. I can recommend the audio book; excellent narrater.

There's a third Joe Ledger out now, but I haven't got round to it yet. Seems to be set in London, which doesn't bode well. American writers tend to have a pretty weird idea of what London is like and how people who live there speak.

I enjoyed the book well enough to purchase the hard-copy. I also decided to spend the few extra bucks and pick up the movie.

Whatever you do, don't get the movie. I rarely regret buying "bad" movies (and I've got some REAL stinkers). This one I wish I could take back. It's craptastic. I wanted to like this one in the so-bad-it's-good sense, but I couldn't even do that.

I liked the film, but I did watch it on TV for free rather than pay anything for it and was quite drunk at the time. Moving it to America spoiled it, and didn't make much sense from a lack of guns perspective.

There's also some free short stories here:
http://www.lastoftheliving.net/en-GB/free-fiction

Most are from The Human Condition but some are new. They convert quite well with http://web2fb2.net/

There are some really great zombie stories out by Rusty Fischer. He has a number of free ones on his website and on scribd too. His latest book Zombies Don't Cry just came out and it's on my wishlist

Finally, people who appreciates zombies! I could hug you all if I had proof you wouldn't bite me.

Right now I am reading Aftertime by Sophie Littletfield. It came out in March, has anyone read it? It's after the zombie rising, a different take. Kinda gritty as the protag isn't perfect.

Also, they're YA, but I really like The Dead and The Enemy by Charlie Higson. Sorry if this has been mentioned. I'm going to go back and read the rest of this thread when I come back from lazing outside.

I wonder if Amazon would price-match it?

I have just started "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" by Seth Grahame-Smith. This must surely satisfy my desire to catch up on classics, and feeds my need for gore, all in one package! Finding it quite amusing so far.

I'll have to look out for "Zombies Don't Cry"
I'm currently reading Zombie Fallout by Mark Tufo. It seems good so far, which is handy since I bought all three books.

TBR list (after zombie fallout)
PaxCorpus by Ryan S. Fortney
Hollowland by Amanda Hocking

I've not read anything by Amanda Hocking (I don't read paranormal romance) so it was interesting to spot that she had done a zombie one.

BTW thanks for the mention siraks!

The Amanda Hocking book is good and the price is right. I've read it. Nothing new but still pretty good reading.

Have you tried Cherie Priest's Boneshaker? Steampunk meets zombies in an alternate-history 1880s.

I read a little bit into Boneshaker. Wasn't able to get into it very well. Just never been a fan of the Steampunk stuff, and it just turned me off.

Not a big zombie genre guy whether it comes to movies/games/books but I did finish Day By Day Armageddon by J.L. Bourne in 2 days and am starting on the second installment titled Beyond Exile.

Fun quick reading that has been unputdownable so far.
