As I understand it, the font hack doesn't work on the K3. Can anyone confirm this? I would LOVE to add fonts to my K3

@tdavis74 & @Tink-erbell: Err, unless the K2i has plugged this specific hole and not the K3, which sounds strange, that's weird. I'll verify that later (not at home right now)

@EldRick: AFAIK, no. But you can manually edit the config file in the system folder of the userstore.

I'd already upgraded to 3.0.2 but the jailbreak and SS hack have installed successfully. Congratulations and thanks to those involved.

I got the U004 error trying to install jailbreak on K3 WiFi with 3.0.1 firmware.

UPDATED: Yep, it installed and now no more darn dead authors for screensavers.

Ha! I hope I would have noticed this when I attempted to install the update and there was no K3W file.

I am having same issues for K2i 2.5.6...same error messages. I did not do 'restarts'...always went to home/menu/settings/menu/UPDATE. U007 error for SS...fonts did not install successfully. Jailbreak installed first...no issues there...U004.

Having same issues for K2i, 2.5.6 and FontHack: U007 when instaling font hack after installation of jailbreak ended with U004.

People have gone from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 with it installed yes. No guarantees about the future though.

Thank you. (I'd much rather think I am somehow hosing things up myself -- as that means I could still run the hack -- but I don't think that's the case.)

Perhaps I'll try installing on my husband's K2i and see if I have the same issue. If it works on his, then I can assume it is somehow related to my specific K2i.

I installed the SS hack last night and it worked perfectly. I then updated to 3.02. The screen savers reverted to the original ones. I still have the linkss folder and my custom screen savers.

Do I have to uninstall the ss hack and then re-install it or can I just re-install it?

Edit: I just copied the install.bin file to the root directory of my Kindle again and rebooted and my custom screensavers are back.
