Connection to internet using a 3G phone's bluetooth tethering doesn't work ?

Is it me or connection to internet using a 3G phone's bluetooth tethering doesn't work ?
This works fine with another tablet I have.

I can pair the phone fine.

But when I "touch" the phone in the bluetooth device list no connection to the phone happens (looks like the "touch" is not registered or the device is not sensitive to "touch").

The phone bluetooth device says "Use for internet access" profile and this profile is checked (I can not uncheck it by the way)

I can connect to a bluetooth mouse fine.
I can send or receive files to the phone fine.

Anybody has tried to connect to internet using a 3G phone's bluetooth tethering ?

Bugs found so far in 4.4:

1. Brightness meter works in reverse and the lowest brightness is like the mid brightness level in 4.0.3.
2. Device doesn't seem to work with smart cover. You have to use the power button to power-on and put the device into sleep.
3. No screensaver during sleep mode.
4. Default dictionary doesn't have dictionary files.

There doesn't seem to be anything new to get excited about. The device looks basically the same. The only reason one should consider upgrading at this point is to downgrade later which is exactly what I'm doing now !

Wait, check for opengl apps first!

Rollback update archive seems to be damaged or I have network problem.

List to check:
1. Video hardware decoder.
2. USB OTG.
3. OpenGL support.

I downloaded the downgrade package. The zip file is corrupt. I'm downloading again.

It seems that the zip file for downgrading is presently corrupt. What is actually corrupt is system.img. What you can do is after extracting the zip file, replace the corrupt system.img with the system.img file in the last firmware update. In my case, I updated my device a week ago and so I had the last update handy. Just replace the system.img file; nothing else !!

If anyone will be trying kitkat firmware please check this app too:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...gacentauri.red
This app is for 4.4 only (or higher) and will change screen colours. Root is required. Benefit is to fix interface invisibility problem in some apps.

What is the data partition size in new update?

I've noticed a slight increase in page rendering/refresh speed compared to 1.7.2. Pocket app is working more properly for me on 4.4 as well - it was impossible to change fonts on the previous firmware at all.

To add to the bug list - seems holding "right" button now doesn't refresh the page.

A polite suggestion to all participants in this thread. This is the Onyx forum; it would be a lot more sensible to start a new thread for each new question that you have about the i86 than to mix everything up in one giant and completely unreadable thread!
