barabba, 0guzkan: As jvolbrecht asked, what model Touch? There are three, N905, N905B and N905C. The model number is on the end of the device with the USB port. But, we can't supply an image for the N905 as it does not have removable internal memory.

Hi Guys,


I have a Kobo touch, N905C, which was working very well until suddenly did not want to turn on again.

Now when I press the turn on button, the leds stay green and then blue, and then turn off and nothing happens.

When I try to do a hard reset, the led become red when I press the home & the turn on button together, but nothing else happens.

When I connect the Kobo to my pc, nothing happens. I also opened it and plug the external SD on a pc with Ubuntu, and could see all the partitions, and my books and everthing else.

I have to Kobo for 3 years now, you guys think that formating the SD card and copying a SD image could help in this case? If so, anyone could provide me a SD image? And indicate me some directions of how can I do the formating, and burning the image properly in a pc using windows?

In any case, thanks for the help!

It won't harm to try restoring an image. I have sent you a PM with the link. For the instructions, see Memory Upgrade Mod Guide. It is for the Glo, but the steps and tools are the same.

Hi David,

Thank you very much for the image and instructions!
But aparently, did not work =/

After I turn on, the led became green, and starts to flash, but suddenly turn off again. And nothing appear in the screen -/

I think my old warrior is dead -/

Have you charged the battery since restoring the image? The LED going off quickly is usually a sign the battery is flat.

I am looking for an image-file for my Kobo Glo (Model: N613).

Would be nice if sb could help me

ps.: The reason why I am looking for the image-file is: The Display is frozen and I hope a new image could help. I have tried all the "standard" ways like "reset", "factory reset", "recharge the battery for long(er) time", "cleaning the display", "Install Android 2.3.4" (and back, because it was still frozen), "holding the power on/off botton for longer time plus/plus not pressing the light botton"...

pps.: The sd-card is the original an it is not formated. The warranty has expired
