A few listens to Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac original version of 'Oh Well!'. After a ten year gap, I was recently given a guitar and have been re-discovering some of the stuff I used to play. The opening riff to 'Oh Well' built around (I believe) the E Minor blues scale is one that always did it for me, so I am revisiting good times (and yes, older times!)

hell yeah man it's a shame that most fans of Mac as i call them have never even heard of that song, i read online i dunno true this is but apparently Stevie Nicks from what Mick Fleetwood said was that she was a member of the band for 30 years before she realized that Black Magic Woman was a Mac song well it was written by a member of Fleetwood Mac and not Santana. Personally i prefer the Original (1968) classic

My brother in law has several Fleetwood Mac albums with Stevie Nicks etc and claims to be a fan of the band. I point out to him (regularly!) that whatever that band may be, it is NOT Fleetwood Mac. No Peter Green, no Danny Kirwan no Jeremy Spencer...nah,that ain't Mac!

while i grew up with Stevie and Lindsay like a lot of people seem to, i do disagree partly sure i love their era all nearly 50 years at this point. but when i was in high school a Senior as a matter of fact my brother gave me the first 3 albums and than later on i bought the rest of the early years. i do love the Blues years they aren't my favorite era of the band that's prolly Lindsay and Stevie's era.

but i do love the early years as well. Penguin (1973) is easily one of my favorite albums of theirs though my brother doesn't like it he prefers mystery to me (1973) to each their own both are good albums though. the worst albums of theirs i think anyways would be i'd say Heroes are hard to find (1974) which isn't a painful sit and it's got some good tracks but they just aren't my favorite that's all. Time (1995) i'd say is their worst album by far.

on what am listening to some Steven Page solo stuff
