I bought the deluxe edition Moo You Bloody Choir - its extra CD contains some live tracks which sound even better (especially those with the orchestra).

So, Plastic Bertrand not your cup of tea then? How do you like Transvision Vamp. There may be some o the playlist today.

For some reason the idiot voices in my head have been singing the "Super Chicken" theme song the whole damn day. It wouldn't be so bad ... but it's really hard for me not to squak out loud at the end.

Late 80's. Unfortunately the "hits" from their success album Pop Art were the "safe" ones, and completely missed the sci-fi meets Andy Warhol sensibilities of the album. You've probably heard I Want Your Love:

but the opening track, Trash City was wonderully "pop art sci-fi cyberpunk", and it continued with stuff like Psychosonic Cindy, Wild Star, Hanging Out With Halo Jones, Revolution Baby, Sister Moon....come to think, the main protagonist, Queen Bee, might start tagging along with your mythology if you're not careful; I'm more than willing to rewrite lyrics to suit the legend.

hm. well. luckily i don't think there will be any lasting trauma (i wish i could say the same for taylor's contribution to my culture earlier today) but nonetheless i'm pretty sure once was enough for that song.

I'm sitting here in the darkness at 11:45pm listening to some mild snoring from Maggie (one of my dogs), some milder snoring from The Loved One - both types of snoring the periodic, quiet, calming type, rather than the constant chainsaw on corrugated iron type - and the big hot water system that lives in our bedroom cupboard ticking and lightly thumping as it stretches its joints out for it's overnight, offpeak efforts.

I'm off to bed. Remember, that's not me you can hear snoring; I don't snore.
