I'll pass the information on to my people and we may be able to solve some of the Mac WiFi connection problems clients have. It's the sort of problem we should remember from DOS days and forbidden characters in file names.

That's for sure. I guess we have become so accustomed to GUI that we forget some of the underlying principles of the kernel.

Once I took all the apostrophes out of my iPhone's name, I no longer needed to use a static IP.

I understand but, it would still be nice to have reliable and working iPhone4 hotspot settings (Gateway, Subnet Mask, DNS Server) in case someone else needs to do a little manual troubleshooting in the future.
