Hi kartu & Mark,

I am trying to provide Prev/Next month on the 300. Can I use doHoldLeft and doHoldRight functions? Are they part of PRS+ on the 300?

Sincerely,
Ben.

Ben, on prs 505 the function today doesn't work, only the calendar goes to the mounth of today, but the highlighted day is the last marked day.

You made a modification to show the number of events a day has, but when for error to add an event without descripcion and icon the number 1 aren't shown, could you modify the script to show always the numbers of the events (from 1 to ....)

What changes should i to do to check the new scripts of calendar on ebooksim?

thanks

Hi Victor,

Thanks for pointing out that bug on the 505. I've fixed it, but haven't pushed it yet. I might wait to see if there are any further problems!

As for displaying "1" is there is one event, I really don't want to do it. For me, the darker shade is enough to indicate that there is 1 event. However, if you want to make it display "1" in your custom build, find the procedure target.setSquare and change the line that currently is

if (numevents>1) {

to

if (numevents>0) {

Sincerely,
Ben.

Hi Victor,
I couldn't get the translation strings to work in the Sim. I am waiting for Mark Nord to reappear and suggest something!

Ben.

Ben, Victor,

I've pushed Revision 860ef8885f to the apps-repository.
With this revision _Core.lang is supported. (moved it fully into the sandbox)

Note: only de.js and en.js are up to date.

Victor you will have to copy es.js from a beta.build, based on lang.ods from google-docs, over.
Language is set in \ebookSim\user.config
Regards
Mark

Thanks.

Mark how many variables can i define in a script (to translate texts) on ebooksim? Because i've added nine variables more (to translate texts) to calendar.js and when i run the ebooksim appears an error, with eight more works well.

Victor,

I think there is no specific limit on variables, but at the real device there is a limit of somewhat < 100kB for a script. This seems to be true in the Sim too.
calandar.js is getting rather huge (92k) currently.

I would suggest to shorten the code by
  1. removing stale code ( code between /* */)
  2. deleting/shortening comments
  3. shorten var statements to var I=somthing, j, k=anotherting, ....;
  4. shorten var names
HTH

Hi kartu,

I have had a look at this problem. I have been able to replicate the error, and I have discovered that for some totally unexplainable reason the AI fails to produce a valid move (even though a valid move is available). I have tried to track the bug in the AI routines down, but I am afraid it is beyond me: that's the problem with using someone else's code! The best I can do is modify the code to output a message like "AI failed. Sorry!"

I have only seen this problem in "slow" mode, so if it happens again and the "AI failed. Sorry!" message appears, the user can manually do a move for black. Then the user can undo (going back 2 steps). If the AI speed is changed to something other than "Slow" then when the user makes the same move that caused the problem in the first place the AI should work properly and the game can continue.

It's a work-around, but it's probably the best I can manage...

Sincerely,
Ben.

Hi Mark,

I should probably tidy up the Calendar code for the repositories, too.

Sincerely,
Ben.
