I'd be happy to give a diagnostic script a try.

MP, yes, the problem is that Enter doesn't function. I
have the correct structure.

Thanks to both of you,
Pib
I found possible reason.

Please download Sudoku and try it again.

http://www.msh-tools.com/ebook/sudoku.zip

If its still not good, please download the following file.

http://www.msh-tools.com/ebook/sudoku_test.zip

Unpack to the root (as usual), you'll see some label "ShowInput", then press different keys (excluding digits) and let me know what you see.

For example: Press left arrow, the label will be "doLeft", etc. Try left, right, top, bottom, menu, enter, size, mark, mark+hold, enter+hold, next, previous (everything, except volume and digits).

For example: Press left arrow, the label will be "doLeft", etc. Try left, right, top, bottom, menu, enter, size, mark, mark+hold, enter+hold, next, previous (everything, except volume and digits).
Starts off showing ShowInput.
Joystick left, right, up and down show doLeft, doRight, doUp and doDown.
Both sets of page buttons show doNext and doPrevious. Pagefwd+hold shows doLast.
Mark shows doMark, and Mark+hold shows doMarkMenu.
Size shows doSize, and Size+hold shows doRotate.
Menu button does doMenu. Menu+hold shows doRoot.
Enter and Enter+hold do nothing!

I think that's it. BTW, I have a 500, not a 505.
I appreciate you looking into this.

Just for giggles, I changed

Code:
<function id="doCenter">
this.doCenterF();
</function>
to

Code:
<function id="doSize">
this.doCenterF();
</function>
and it works -- using the Size button instead of Enter, of course.

Hi Obelix,
Thanks very much for this. Worked straight away on my unmod'ed prs500.

I like my reader and I like Sudoku - now I have both in one!

...well guys,

I'm afraid I have given up on this. You are brave to keep trying, I have noticed my 505 is not very happy when I repeatedly pull out and put back my SD card, so I will use my Reader for what it is supposed to be for, read books

Zevs who is now not asking for

Version 2 is now available:

1. Game New game can be selected either as "Random", "Next", "#", "Load". With "Load" previously saved game can be reloaded. With "#" any certain game can be selected, just press digits to enter desired number.
2. Level. One more "simple" level added.
3. Exit . Either "Quit" (just return to the book, or "Save" (save the game without quiting.
4. Added Clocks and "Play time"
5. Refresh (blink) the screen when entering menu (to remove ghosting).
7. Autocheck if the game is completed. If so some animated congratulation screen shows up.

Control: Left, Right, Up, Down arrows - cursor movement.
"Enter" (central button) or "Mark" buttons to enter the Menu and make selection in the submenu. "Mark" can be used if "Enter" does not work.

"Menu" - enter top level menu.

Sometimes autorun does not start automatically (after rotating circle, nothing appears on the screen, in this case press any control button (e.g. "menu")
