stupid question about bookmarks
Hi guys
I recently upgraded from a 505 to a 650, and installed PRS+ right away :-) I installed Analogous build and it's all working great, but I'm just wondering... I know how to set a bookmark on a certain page in a book... but how can I retrieve a bookmarks to read that page again ? I don't see the option anywhere. As I hardly used the default sony firmware, I don't even know how this was done before isntalling PRS+... It may be there, and I'm just too tired at night when I use the reader, but I could not find it... please guide me :-) Thanks |

Finding a Note Searching for notes within a book 1 Press OPTIONS -> tap [Notes] ->[List]. A list of all the bookmarks, highlights, and handwritten memos in the current book appears. Taken from Manual.pdf page 44 |

Not recommended as a clock refresh is the same as a normal page refresh (you can't just refresh a little corner of an e-ink screen) and this will noticeably shorten your time between charges...

Ah, that's, besides the LCD-screen, why the NookClassic's battery drains that much faster then (though, the clock there refreshes without affecting the rest of the screen, at least there is no flash indicating a refresh).

I know it is a stupid question, but...
How can I make the stanby wallpaper to work on my PRS-600? Where I should save the images? I have three images saved on the memory but the reader doesn't show them as a wallpaper. Thanks in advance!! |

ST-One, elcreative:
It is possible to refresh only the clock part of the screen (partial refresh). However, there is no built-in 'trigger' to determine when another minute has gone by. So in order to have the clock update by itself, we would have to have an extra timer running in the background, all the time. Combined with all the partial refreshes, that would cause too much battery drain, I fear. superbet: From the user guide: Quote:

Maybe this question has been posted earlier:
Is there a chance to reduce the FULL-PAGE-REFRESH in EBooks? At least some controllability is possible - no page refresh when using the dic. So I wonder if the page refresh mode in books is hard-coded. Playing ZORK over Frotz shows, that reading without reflashing allt the time shouldn't be that bad. A. |

Not that I've been able to find...
Btw, here's the code you asked for, to close the size overlay by page tap (I couldn't get my general function working): Code:
kbook.model.container.sandbox.SIZE_OVERLAY_GROUP.sandbox.VIEW.sandbox.SIZE_OVERLAY.sandbox.canTap = function () { return true; } kbook.model.container.sandbox.SIZE_OVERLAY_GROUP.sandbox.VIEW.sandbox.SIZE_OVERLAY.sandbox.doTap = function (x, y) { if (y < this.height - 128) this.getModel().closeCurrentOverlay(); } |

Thanks. No problem, I will put it in my CB. Could you give me a hint HOW and WHERE I should paste it?
I think: sizeOverlay.xml But in this file(s) everything is in < > and under groups like <code> ... </code> Sorry for asking, but I'm a kind of ignorant (knowing nothing)... A. |

Sorry, I forget who's added custom code before and who hasn't. I've created a little barebone addon with the settings, so that you don't have to edit the code. Change the file extension to .js and put it in the addons3 folder before building, and all should be well
