This is "ok" for a beta-build.

But
a) to create a propper beta-folder run "ant build.beta"
finally delete dist/Beta/core/core_zabout.js
and copy folder /Beta/ to IM

user.config

prsp.js

Hello PRS+ Team!

First i want to thank you for this awesome work! I use this custom firmware since 3 months and its clearly better than the official one...adding so much options and possibilities.
I never had any problem (only one -bad- crash, surely random) so far but with the new Alpha-version, I have this "elusive battery drain".

The battery is fully loaded, I read a little before sleeping and the next morning I have only 2 bars out of 4 (The reader was on sleep-mode). I did multiple soft-resets and complete cycles of charge-discharge but the problem persisted.
It's like the reader doesn't really go into sleep-mode and continue to slowly eat juice.
2 days ago, it didn't properly boot...no more battery :/

And it's not a malfunction, because since that day I'm using the official Firmware (I booted while my reader was connected to the PC and switched back to the Sony FW) without any noticeable Battery drain.

I write this post for two thing:
-Is this problem known or is it really "elusive"?
-What can I do to help you finding the "bug"?

I will still use the official Firmware until the battery is depleted (to be sure the device is properly working) and after that I will use the custom FW to see if the problem still persist.
If it's an FW problem I will give all the options I ticked...It worked nice on the "lechuck" version and it bugs on the Alpha...there is something wrong

Kek, one question, are you always reading the same book? A friend of mine has had that problem and the reason was the book, not PRS.

I did multiple resets (only soft-resets, afaik there is no hard-reset on the PRS650) and it didn't change anything.
And yes I tried multiple books.

I will test other things and if it's really happening, I will post again on the forum. I don't want to take all the attention, it's maybe only a "false-positive"

Could you try full shutdown (hold power slider for a few sec and you'll see a dialog asking if you want to completely power off) please.

I've done it before without any changes on the battery drain. As I said, I will use my reader with the normal Firmware to exclude any battery malfunction and after that, see if I can isolate/reproduce the problem.

I will post again in 2-3 days...and thank you for all the advices

Key Binding -> Size Button -> Global/Menu/Book -> User EPUB Style

Everything is working as charm, as long as I wont use TOC in epub book. After that Size Button is working in old way, increasing fonts size.

I'm using alpha build and prs 505.

I have the same problema than KEK. I'm using this software since the beginning with a PRS 650 and 950. Since the last update, if you do not turn off manually the device and the device turn off itself automatically (after 10 minutes I think), the battery goes drain completally. I went back with both devices to the original firmware and the problem was fixed.

Of course, I've tried the hard resets and everything but this is not the problem. The problem is with the last update for some reason I do not know. I've been installing every update from this forum since the first version and is the first time I experience that.

Let the device turn off and go to sleep automatically and wait all night. You will see the problem.

My 950 with the latest alpha version does not do this.
