I have no idea how close this might be but check out the manual here.

Basic form
calibre-smtp [options] [from to text]

Possible example
Code:
calibre-smtp [-s See Attached -a xyz.epub] [fromaddress@gmail.com xxx@yahoo.com XYZ webpage has been converted to epub, see attached. ]
I don't know if the brackets need to be there or not. It usually takes me a few tries to get things like this right and I have never tried this at all.

Good Luck.

Thanks. I tried this:

calibre-smtp -r mail.xxxx.com --password xxxx --username "chotechai.p@xxxx.com" --port 25

-vv chotechai.p@xxxx.com axathai@yahoo.com "Test Sending" -s "Uncle Rod" -a "unclerod.epub"

>log.txt

and the log.txt shows:

Python function terminated unexpectedly
STARTTLS extension not supported by server. (Error Code: 1)

No idea what's going on. My mail server is Lotus Notes.

Brackets in the documentation of console commands (almost) always mean that the enclosed argument is optional.

STARTTLS is an encryption scheme used by mail servers. It seems that your server doesn't support it. Note that calibre-smtp doesn't support sending mail via unencrypted logins.

As now I just got my Kindle 3 and I want to extend the batch file to autmatically send the generated mobi ebook to my Kindle free email account so that I can download it anywhere I have wifi connection.

ebook to send as attachment from my gmail account: unclerod.mobi
my gmail account: xxx@gmail.com
gmail password: zzzz
my kindle account: xxx@kindle.com
Subject: Uncle Rod Weekly Astro Blog

This is the command line that I've tried but it does work:

calibre-smtp xxx@gmail.com xxx@kindle.com "Mail Content test" -r smtp.gmail.com -u xxx@gmail.com -p zzzz --port 587 -s "Uncle Rod Weekly Astro Blog" -a "unclerod.mobi"
