...and you see how nice I am, not even mentioning that it was 30C at 10am this morning, and that we've just come back from a bodysurf and a lie on the beach, followed by a swim in the pool, and that we're about to have brunch on the balcony? I'm considerate like that. Cheers, Marc (and no-one even mentioned my "rhoids" joke. Sheesh. Is that revenge or something?) |

Being both a pacifist and a vegetarian, I want neither your life nor a pound of your flesh (and I've got plenty of pounds of my own, in any case), but I confess I'm interested in knowing how cold it gets during your winter.

0 degrees C here - and another sunny day. I´m wondering how long the ice bar will make it. We´ll be serving Russian vodka for you guys suffering from sub-zero temperatures and frozen Strawberry Margaritas for Marc.

It's 2 C at 5:35 AM PST on a noisy (because of the dog) Saturday morning in Vanouver. My other sleeping companion (not the dog) was forced to go to work this weekend because some major convention required telecommuciations expertise that could not be obtained elsewhere! This means I have to look after the dog alone most of the weekend, usually a joy, but having help is always a relief. On a brighter note, Katarina Witt visted town yesterday, filming a promo to highlight the German Winter Olympic team and their history. She looked great skating again, in her 40's, on top of our local Gross Mountain on natural ice. A nice treat, for both her and us. 'morning all, WDE. |
