Currently 22°C and cloudy. Looks like the rain the weatherfolk have been threatening us with for the last while may finally arrive.

Still hot and dry. Grass is visibly yellowing now. Forests closed provincewide. Someone in Cape Breton accidentally started a grass fire trying to mow their lawn (sparks from blade hitting a rock).

when the rain comes, I fear flood.

Today's the start of a heatwave; it's officially just over 27℃, but locally it's over 30℃. Over the next three day temperatures will rise to up to 33℃. There's barely any wind at the moment. From Thursday there are very local thunderstorms, and it'll be humid on top of the temperature, so that will be fun.

From Friday temperatures will drop back to between 24℃ and 27℃. Not cool by any means but better than 30℃+.

Wildfires started on outskirts of my town. Quickly knocked down.

Fourth day of the heatwave. Monday and Tuesday were okay, but yesterday, throughout the day, the humidity started to creep up. Although the temperature last night was the about the same as the night before I didn't get much sleep since it was just so uncomfortably warm.

Right now, 9.45 am, it's already 25℃ and with a humidity of 80%, later today it'll go up to 32℃. But due to some thin clouds the sun isn't super strong. Hopefully it'll stay that way because it means my attic rooms won't heat up as quickly. On the bright side; temperatures will peak early today and it'll start to cool off hours earlier than the last couple of days. So hopefully it'll be more pleasant tonight.

Tomorrow it's going to start to cool down, 29℃ tomorrow and over the weekend around 24℃. On Saturday we're going to Amsterdam to see a musical and there it'll be 22℃, I'm looking forward to those temperatures.

Is the long hot summer drawing to a close? It has been 30 C (87 F ish) for so long, and it finally seems to have cooled off. I love it hot so I hope there is a little more summer left.

Predictions for the next week here is low 20s. Unfortunately, no rain which is bad for the forest fire situation.

It cooled down nicely over the weekend. Today and tomorrow are going to be warm again, around 26℃. However, today has been very cloudy so far (10 am) and it's cooler than predicted. If it stays cloudy it'll be a couple of degrees cooler than initially predicted. From Wednesday temps are going to start going down to around 20℃ and it looks like it should stay mostly dry this week.

Rained last night and wind changed so no smoke in town today.

Unfortunately, the wildfire in Annapolis County doubled in size yesterday and continued to grow despite the rain.

The edge of a hurricane brushing by my province later today is bringing lots of wind... and no rain! Perfect for drought-trees and an out of control wildfire.

One of the trees outside my building dropped nearly all its leaves.

It's been a cool summer here in Texas. Only 5 days above 37 C, none above 40 C.

First cool front of the fall is supposed to get here next week. A couple of days around 30 C.
