Today has been overcast and a bit humid. According to one paper, apparently we've already had our hottest day now, too (if it's true, I won't be upset)

Yep, not much has changed here in Scotland, despite all the 'stay safe in the sun' campaigns the past few years.

BARELY into the 100'sF, but today we are at 3% humidity. I'll take that over 80F (27C) with 90% humidity anyday!!! Actually, it's been an awesome few months!

When I lived in the UK I was appalled at the number of people not only desperately trying to fry themselves on the few sunny days at the beaches, but also those frequenting the tanning salons. I even worked with a few girls who tried to pass off their orange/brown Oompa Loompa skin (aleady showing signs of premature aging) as "natural". But I am partial to this topic being a Stage IV Melanoma survivor (not a sun worshipper, but genetically predisposed).

Massive thunderstorms all around. It knocked the power out. The network and this computer are on the UPS. This is my last post until the power is restored.

Yikes! My aunt just mentioned the thunderstorms down there on facebook. It's raining here, but no thunderstorms. Thank goodness, I thought I was going to get hit by lightning several times a few weeks ago. It kept striking by my car. Stay indoors!

What is a Seelenlage?

And yes, we'll have plenty of strawberries! (unless one of the cats will crush them all, as the strawberry bed is his favourite resting place...)

I use lengths of chicken wire ..... helps stop the cats from diggin up my veg patch too ....

our cats (especially the red one) are handy... We had a net over the patch last year. And the cat under it...

They like the woodchips (no straw underneath our strawberries, but woodchips). Those radiate heat and are thus a prime place to sleep in warmth

There is the weirdest sun in the sky right now. I don't know if there is a slight cloud cover or a smog cover but the sun is reflecting orange, red and rose off of both white and black objects.

Mens white t-shirts have a tinge of orange or pink, as does the sidewalk.

Crows backs are glaring red.

This camera is refreshed every few minutes, and it's about 7:30 pm PST. It's showing the sunset, but not the strange glow.

Vancouver, almost sunset.

It's rather wet here... NOt a ot of sunshine, though I do see some blue so now and again.

I think the rain is falling now, so we won't have rain when we're going camping
