I'll be the first to admit that I was an ebook sceptic. Just three months ago I was wondering if it was all just something that would quickly blow itself out.
It seems I might have been wrong. I've just seen my sales figures for my ebooks for September, and just on Amazon, I've sold over 2000 books. That's before we take other markets like Smashwords and Kebo et all into consideration. In the course of an eighteen year writing career this outperforms my previous best month by a -long- way. And with THE INVASION still in the top 20 of ALL horror books on Amazon, THE VALLEY sales picking up, and THE AMULET just released, with several more books about to be added, I can foresee even better things ahead. I'm a convert. Check out my ebooks here: On Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/William-Meikle..._athr_dp_pel_1 On Amazon.co.uk http://www.amazon.co.uk/s?_encoding=...lliam%20Meikle On Smashwords http://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/williammeikle |

BENEATH A BURIED HOUSE Things aren't always what they seem. Tulsa Police Detective, Kenny Elliot's quest to uncover the truth behind the death of a transient makes him a target from whom or what he isn't sure. When he brushes the dirt from the surface of an apparent John Doe overdose case, he finds a labyrinth of misdirection and deception beneath, and a trail, which leads him to an encounter with an aberration in human nature, the likes of which he's not prepared to deal with. Drawing on the strength of character, and a sense of right and wrong, he wrestles with deep personal feelings to solve the case. Read an excerpt. ORDER Beneath a Buried House from Amazon, Barnes and Noble or AWOC Books. Buy the Kindle version! http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003SE7J6I |

Past Life Space Opera
Awakening begins an epic tale of immortals who reincarnate, battling a conformist enemy that seeks to erase the memory of past lives and sentence rebels to a lonely corner of the galaxy. The Dead Forever trilogy follows the adventures of a reluctant hero who is far more than he believes, having suffered the enemy's amnesia by design. The hero fights to conquer the empire through space battles and deception, and then in the sequel, Apotheosis, he travels to a distant system in search of fellow rebels, only to discover a primitive culture that worships him as a god. The mission falls apart and all hell breaks loose, including a journey into that dark underworld. By the third and final episode, Resonance, the hero is reborn on Earth where he is joined by friends and foes from the past, reincarnated along with him, and the battle to conquer his nemesis continues in our world.
"Awakening is a professionally written and solidly edited book that I feel is well worth the price and time you'll spend on it." --Clayton Bye, the Deepening World of Fiction "Each character has a unique personality and Campbell does a great job of bringing them to life." --Charline Ratcliff, Rebecca's Reads "A fascinating science fiction adventure, highly recommended." --Midwest Book Review "[Apotheosis is] Entertaining as any good book, but unlike many it tackles some of the deep problems and questions of the world today, in a way that is subtle as you read the book, but makes you think when you put it down." --Review Haven: Sci-fi and Fantasy Start with book 1, Awakening. 270 pages. Kindle $2.39 (20% off): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0034G6628 Smashwords $2.99: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/8981 Next take a trip down the rabbit hole with Apotheosis. 368 pages. Faithful Warrior
I now shamelessly promote my award winning third novel, originally only in podcast audio format it is now available at both Kindle and Smashwords as a full length ebook. Even if you listened to the original audio, you will be delighted to find new information, remade bits and a generally slightly different story in the text version.
![]() Faithful Warrior Pastor Michael Farris was a well loved man. Loving husband and father, Shepherd of his church, Courageous minister to the inner city gangs of Columbus Ohio. He helped people change their lives for the better. But when his peaceful life is suddenly shattered by a senseless drive by shooting, a side of Pastor Farris that almost no one knew comes to the surface...a violent shadow of a life that he had been able to keep secret all these years. As he seeks to right the crimes committed against him he is unexpectedly confronted by a ghost from his past, and Mike Farris suddenly finds himself in a race against the clock to stop an insane terrorist from killing thousands, maybe even millions in one fell swoop. "Sands is fearless in his storytelling, and tireless in his quest to connect directly with his audience. Big Publishing? Watch out for this guy." - Scott Sigler, NYT Bestselling Author of Infected, Contagious and Ancestor "Basil Sands has a knack for blending action and intrigue in an all-too realistic setting. In Karl's Last Flight, the future is reminiscent of our recent past. I just hope there are heroes like Basil's heroes fighting on our side." - Evo Terra, Founder of Podiobooks.com Enjoy!! Is there such a thing as an Oktoberfest read? If so, my mystery/thriller satire Besserwisser: A Novel might just be one. Here's the deal:
Munich, 1990: American expat slacker Gordy Ford poses as a top Hitler scholar, all to impress a girl. Stuck in his scam, Gordy soon thinks he's stumbled onto a shocking historical discovery that's made him the target of a wannabe Neo-Nazi and shady Russian mafia. "Confederacy of Dunces but set against the backdrop of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Besserwisser is a comical adventure that will keep you guessing." —The LL Book Review Plus, I have a new cover that I like: ![]() The US Kindle discount's holding steady at $2.39 and the UK Kindle version at £1.75. Also available at Smashwords and for iBooks, B&N, Kobo, Diesel and Sony Reader. This is supposed to be shameless, right? Right? Ein Prosit! Thanks, Steve |
