Long Bank Holiday weekend sure was confusing, now I’m late with my weekly post. I’ll just sneak in quietly with another limerick sample and maybe no-one will notice...
An automaton late of Devizes Had legs of disparate sizes, His arms were all bent And his head had a dent From taking on awful disguises. At this rate, it’s going to take me all year to serialise the whole book. ![]() Peter Sorry, I ran into Dr. Drib's Shameless Rule #8 again, I forgot to say that the SF limerick book is divided into a number of helpful and extremely interesting categories: The Boys The Girls Medical Advances Aliens Space The Law Military Robots Linguistics Steam Power Passengers to Sentience at Amazon - 99 cents SF Limericks at Amazon - 99 cents SF Limericks at smashwords – 99 cents Passengers to Sentience at smashwords - 99 cents The smashwords editions are available to download in multiple formats and can be sampled at 50%. |

Well, let me make this endless thread a little bit longer. (Wait, that was a bit oxymoronic...if it's endless it can't be longer...oh, never mind...)
My novel, Wounded Earth, three short stories, and a mini-collection of those short stories called Offerings are all available on Smashwords and Kindle, and should be available at all the other popular sites any minute now-- http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...+anna+evans%22 http://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/maryannaevans I have a series of mysteries, Artifacts, Relics, Effigies, Findings, Floodgates, and the soon-to-be-published Strangers heretofore only available in paper editions, but as of this morning, they are trickling out into the ebook world. Two of them can be found here, and I presume the other four will appear soon. They are confabulated with the works of George Eliot, whose real name differed from mine by a single letter, but I think you can tell George and me apart. http://appshopper.com/search/?cat=&d...+anna+evans%22 And if you like paper books, all of my mysteries can be found at the Amazon link above. Happy reading! Mary Anna http://www.maryannaevans.com http://maryannaevans.blogspot.com |

For Mother's Day, I'm Running a .99 Sale on My Novel
I'm getting in on this thread late in the game, but in keeping with the themes of self-promotion and great deals, I'm offering my mystery/thriller novel IDENTITY CRISIS at half off the usual price on Smashwords. So, basically, it's a 99 cent special. You get a lot of book for the price. (Really!)
In IDENTITY CRISIS, a simple domestic abuse case turns deadly when the alleged abuser is killed and Stephanie Ann "Sam" McRae’s client disappears. When a friend asks Sam to find Melanie Hayes, the Maryland attorney is drawn into a complex case of murder and identity theft that has her running from the Mob, breaking into a strip club and forming a shaky alliance with a private investigator to discover the truth. With her career and life on the line, Sam’s search takes her from the blue-collar Baltimore suburbs to the mansions of Gibson Island. Along the way, she learns that false identities can hide dark secrets, and those secrets can destroy lives. A few reviews: Debbi Mack has created a first-rate heroine in Sam McRae. Sam is tough, resilient, sassy and unstoppable. Good thing, too, as Identity Crisis moves at a slam-bam pace." --Simon Wood Author of Working Stiffs and Terminated “Of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock once said, ‘There is no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it.’ Author Debbi Mack nails that statement in this tightly written tale about a flawed Maryland attorney, ‘Sam’ McRae, and her relentless search for a killer when the domestic abuse case she has been handling kicks itself up a notch: The accused is found dead and his wife has taken off. Not good. Add to that the FBI, the Mob, identity theft, and a vulnerable main character involved with a married prosecutor and you have a darn good page-turner. Debbi Mack crafts a taut narrative with crackling dialogue.” --Aimee Zuccarini, reviewer The Maryland Women's Journal Oct./Nov. 2009 This special runs through Sat., May 15, 2010. Just enter the code XZ35H at checkout to get the discounted price. Thanks and happy reading! Best wishes, Debbi [In-text promotional links deleted - MODERATOR] Last edited by Dr. Drib; 03-10-2014 at 12:44 PM. |

No idea why it's taken me so long to post on this thread, but here I am. I am here promoting the first two volumes of Tales from the Green, an on-going young adult fantasy series. Both books are available for only 99 cents!
Tales from the Green Book One: The Magic Flute (Kindle) (Smashwords) When Alex was a child he lived to hear his grandfather's stories of his supposed adventures in the mythical forest world known as the Green. Of course, now that he's older he has given up on believing in old fairy tales. Too bad they didn't give up on him. When Alex tries to play the old wooden flute the old man gave him for a birthday present he finds that the stories are all too real as he is swept away into the Green himself! Now to return home he must learn what it means to be a hero in a world where magic reigns and humans are a myth that many would rather forget. Tales from the Green Book Two: The Wizard's Tome (Kindle) (Smashwords) Special Deal: Now until May 25th download free from Smashwords using coupon code XV28M The Tales from the Green saga continues. As Alex and Kira search for answers that will aid them in their quest to defeat the dragon Ssvalith, evil begins to stir in the Green. Trolls rampage throughout the Eternal Forest, answering the call of dark sorcery. The armies of Dwarfholme march to war against the elves of the Mists. Wyrms skulk in the shadows. Will Alex have what it takes to be the Hero the Green needs? For news, promotions, and short stories concerning the Tales from the Green series and other projects drop by my blog at http://sdbest.blogspot.com. Number Nine!
Number Nine! Is this some obscure Beatles reference? (you had to be around in the late 60's) Nope. It is Boomerang's place on the All Time Bestseller Chart at Smashwords. Number Nine. And how did it get to this exalted position? Easy. It's a fun, fast paced, outside the box comic adventure featuring international intrigue, jazz musicians, a clothing optional ex-Onion Festival Queen, an albino assassin with a crossbow, two unemployed and very determined Australian women of mature years and a thunderous finish that will keep you turning the pages (digitally) way past the time you ought to be asleep. Here is what one of Boomerang's many readers has to say. Review by: Bill on Dec. 21, 2009 : star star star star star Alan Hutcheson has writen a wonderfully fun tale that will keep you reading all night. Ted and Jerry make a unique team on the hunt for a strange relic once owned by a super powerful Washingtom lawman; and if thats not enough they have a crossbow wielding albino after them to keep them from slowing down. The characters are weird and entertaining they will make you laugh. I can't wait for Alan's next book. Use coupon code MN64D at Smashwords to get your own copy for just $0.99! So find out for yourself what brought Boomerang to Number Nine and why it's bound to go higher! |

I saw a squirrel trying to hump a garden gnome today.
No word of a lie...I was walking past someone's front lawn and saw the little bugger with its claws wrapped round the gnome's head in an embrace that can only be described as 'enthusiastic'. Ah, the beauty of the natural world. Oh, and 'Life...with no breaks' is on sale at the links in my signature... |

Just wanted to let everyone know that for a limited time only, I'm selling my books REAL CHEAP.
How long is a limited time? For as long as it takes until readers are willing to pay what my books are really worth. In other words, for an unlimited time only. How cheap is cheap? The amazingly low price of 99 cents. CLARIFICATION: Just because my books are cheap doesn't mean they're wanton works of fiction, willing to put out for anyone. They are, in fact, HIGH QUALITY works of fiction, with lots of self-respect. It's me who doesn't have any self-respect. I've promised both my books that someday they will be valued for their true worth. Just not today. Thank you for your support. |

Earlier today I made a very pleasant discovery (which I foolishly forgot to shamelessly plug in this thread): "We Don't Plummet Out of the Sky Anymore" is currently the 24th highest rated free ebook on Smashwords, in any genre... and the second highest rated free ebook in the entire Sci-Fi and Fantasy category. Not bad at all, since it's only been available for a single month!
![]() My sincere thanks to everyone who has downloaded, read and reviewed the story, and I am gratified that so many are able to enjoy it. ![]() - M. |

I came here to mention my historical western romance, Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold. But, ImogenRose, I can't help but add my compliments about your picture of Tallulah and your book. My own dog girl, Schara, is the cover girl on my mystery, but letting her stick her nose in an actual book would undoubtedly mean one copy ruined by at least a bit of dog slobber.
Anyway, Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold is a historical western romance set in Colorado in 1885, a story where love triumphs over ugly family conflicts. It's available for $1.99 on Amazon and Smashwords: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846 http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/13028 |

Hey, good to see some familiar faces! Hi Debbi!
My novel The Skull Ring is 99 cents for a limited time at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/The-Skull-Ring.../dp/B003980ELA. A mystery thriller in which Julia Stone pieces together her past despite a manipulative boyfriend, a crazy shrink, a crooked cop, and creepy people in robes.. (How limited? Until I figure out if cheaper is better.) Also at Smashwords: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/9523 My supernatural thriller The Red Church is also available: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/8202 and http://www.amazon.com/The-Red-Church.../dp/B0032FPYD8 (For a limited time. How limited? Well, one day surely the sun will cool and the globe will turn to ice and we won't be able to view our ereaders.) If you like those, I have some other books. If you don't like those, you probably won't like my other books. Thanks for looking! Scott |
