THE GESTALT MAN
A Psychological Thriller
By
Anthony E. Cardenas

SYNOPSIS:
Michael Jeck suffers from severe dissociative identity disorder as a result of a series of traumatic incidents in his childhood. He has five separate and individual personalities—Kara, a brainy, intellectual woman trained as a medical examiner; Nick, an aggressive hit first ask questions later guy; Alex, the suave, sophisticated, educated man; Telly, a brainy teenager who is an expert with computers and technology; and Sara, a mute eight year old girl who creates mature, beautiful works of art to express herself.

Thanks to years of experimental psychotherapy, Jeck has managed to gain control over his five other personalities, not by suppressing them, but by living with them. He then uses their specific skills and talents to form a kind of think tank, capable of effectively solving complex and difficult crimes. In this way, he and his five personalities function as a unified whole, rather than individual parts—a truly gestalt personality.

Michael Jeck is now a special agent with the FBI and has garnered a reputation as an eccentric genius that can solve any case. Recently, however, he has been unable to crack a strange series of murders that appear to be completely different but also thinly connected to each other. Concerned that his top agent may be psychologically unfit, the Assistant Director of the FBI decides to assign Jeck a partner for the very first time.

Enter Grayson O’Neal, an FBI agent from the behavioral sciences division, whose mysterious past and strange eagerness to work with Agent Jeck causes a newfound tension amongst the normal “group” dynamic.

Together, Jeck and Grayson work to solve the mystery of the serial killings, at the same time trying to come to terms with their respective pasts, and their uncertain futures.

The Gestalt Man is available in the following formats and platforms where you can sample or purchase the book:

Amazon Kindle (US):
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006L8SO1M

Barnes & Noble Nook:

Or at Smashwords, where you can sample or purchase in various formats compatible with the iPad, Nook, Kobo, Kindle, etc.

WARNING: The book is intended for mature audiences and contains graphic violence, sex and disturbing imagery. So basically if this was a movie, it would be Rated R.

Smile Need Your Vote

Hey everyone I just stopped by to let everyone know that my paperback edition of my book: Snoops, Clues & Boos has made it to the voting selection of the Wal-Mart contest "get on the shelf."

This contest is one where people with a product compete (like in American Idol) to get their product on the shelves of Wal-Mart (a super store).

I ask that you please take the time to view the video and even sample the book available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

You can view the video and book blurb on Wal-Mart site here:

http://www.getontheshelf.com/product...,-Clues-&-Boos

Please bookmark this and return again to vote on March 7th, 2012. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Where Dreams are Born, a Kindle or print book from a small publisher.

It was supposed to be a win-win situation—a safe environment in which to raise a son for single mom Vicky, housekeeping and childcare for widowed Jack. Neither one wants or expects anything more. Life, however, has more in store than either one imagines.

“Joyce DeBacco pens one of those tales that is warm and loving while still mixed with trials that will touch a reader's heart.” Dee Dailey of The Romance Studio

Too bad I lost the cover pic of the book in the line up below. It ties in perfectly with Valentine's Day

Self-publishing: Where Mortals Fear To Tread

As a long-time writer who penned words to paper just for my own entertainment, I finally decided to explore the world of self-publication and see if I can't make something of it all.

Right now I'm working on a series of humorous fairy-tale adventures for the "tween" ages and am really hoping to strike a chord with not only the kids in the 8-12 range, but with the parents that read with their kids. I really like the idea of something that adults and kids will enjoy reading together.

My first release is "Sir Nathan and the Quest for Queen Gobbledeegook", a story about an overzealous knight searching for his missing queen. It's available on Smashwords as well as Amazon and I'm currently working through the submission process with PubIt! I'm also eagerly awaiting the paper proof from Create Space. Nothing like seeing all those typos in actual print on paper, right?

Book Description:
"Queen Gobbledeegook has gone missing and it is up to Sir Nathan, the Hero of Mariskatania, to find her. Along the way he meets all sorts of odd folks, including pixies and wizards and a hulking creature named Mitzy that likes to knit. The land of Mariskatania is a colorful one, filled with bright Jubb Jubb Trees and fuzzy, blue Hobnobber Squirrels who spend all their time looking for a snack guaranteed to poison them. "

Boomerang Loves February

Only a bit over halfway through and February is already shaping up to be the best month ever for Boomerang. Thanks to everyone who has invested their $0.99 (or 72p in the UK) as well as the Amazon Prime members who have "checked it out" this month.

Debut With a Bang: Two New Novels

I just digitally published my first two novels, and have been hearing from readers straight time that they couldn't put the books down. Both stories feature dynamic female protagonists and tons of fun characters.

"My Way Home" is about Cammy Coleman and how she chooses to deal with infidelity.

"Wings" is about Liddy Hall and her adventures in the WASP (Women's Airforce Service Pilots) program during WWII.

Please check them out and help spread the word

I'm new to self publishing, I don't have a fancy cover or even a long detailed novel. What I have is a short story sure to capture your heart so please give a read. It's called Shadows of the Dust only 99 cents on Kindle.

I hope you enjoy!!!

Smile Coding Isis - a techno-thriller

I have become addicted to the current month-to-date unit sales report on the Amazon kdp site since publishing my novel a few days ago. It's depressing reading (the sales figures that is, not the book!)

I'm hoping that being able to shamelessly plug my book here might help. The book is only available in Kindle format, and I know most people on this site are smart enough to change that to any format they want, but for others, I made a blog post http://davidroys.blogspot.co.nz/2012...different.html. Thanks to the creators of Calibre for such an awesome utility!

You can read the book blurb at http://www.amazon.com/Coding-Isis-ebook/dp/B00746OGV2 but let me add that I think this book will appeal to fans of Lee Child.

Technology to die for...

The most significant improvement to mankind since the invention of the internet, Chris Sanders knows his research will change the world and make him a very rich man.

When Chris’s beautiful research assistant is murdered, evidence suggests she and Chris were having an affair and he becomes the prime suspect. Accused of adultery and murder, Chris must turn to his wife for help in proving his innocence, but should she trust him? Will she help?

Detective Ben Naylor from Washington DC’s Metro PD finds the evidence against Chris is unequivocal. Either Chris Sanders is a calculating, cold-blooded killer, or he is the unluckiest son-of-a-bitch alive.

Can Chris win the fight to prove his innocence? Can he win the battle for his life?

Coding Isis is a fast-paced techno-thriller that brings a new breed of hero to the genre.

Serendipity House. Named Best Indie Romance of 2011 at Red Adept Reviews.

A runaway bride and the PI hired to find her get more than they bargained for at a rundown country inn filled with senior citizens.

Rita of Rita reviews says, “ The story was wonderful. I loved Sylvie. She is trying so hard to be her own woman. I can relate to her in so many ways. I think that is one of the reasons I enjoyed this book as much as I did. I recommend everyone read this and find out for yourself if poor, lost Sylvie manages to find herself."
